Aileen Luo is originally from Guangzhou, Guangdong, China where she was born and raised. After graduating High School she was accepted into Lincoln University in Christchurch New Zealand where she obtained her bachelors degree in Enology and Viticulture and was also able to study abroad and do some research at University of California Davis.

 

During school vacations she would go work in the vineyards of Waipara Valley in New Zealand and became more fascinated with the industry. Upon graduation Aileen has worked at renowned wineries in both Sonoma Valley and Hawks Bay New Zealand and has obtain her WSET Level 3.

 

In 2017, Ailleen met Salvador De La Cruz Jr. while working at a winery in Sonoma.  After some time, Salvador invited her to come help him make wine in California as the assistant winemaker at Ludor Wines. With her gained experience while working in two of the world's most prestigious wine regions, Aileen brings great new world winemaking expertise to our team.
